KVM Matrix Switch
KVM Matrix Switch is a hardware based unit that gives multiple users the ability to control and operate multiple computer systems for efficient management. These KVM Switches offers the flexibility of mixing legacy PS/2, USB and SUN solutions with their multi-platform capability covering PCs, SUNs, MACs, IBMs, HPs and Dells as well as Windows Vista, 2003, XP, 2000, Linux, Netware, and Unix operating systems. Designed in a 1U rack mount form factor, the Matrix KVM unit is available in sizes including 8, 16 and 32 ports and can be cascaded to accommodate up to 256 servers. Control of the KVM Matrix Switchers range from one (1) to four (4) users and depending on the matrix version, can be local, Cat5 remote or via TCP/IP. Important features of the multi user matrix unit include, but are not limited to: an in-depth On Screen Display (OSD) menu with a multitude of options such as advanced user profiles and programmable hot key combinations: 12V, 24V and 48V DC power options; resolution up to 1600x1200; and Regulatory Approvals (FCC, CE, VCCI, TAA and RoHS Compliant). Other models include the IP KVM Matrix Switcher which provides control via secure TCP/IP access and the Cat5e/6 Matrix KVM Switcher that utilizes Cat5e/6 cables to extend remote console access up to 300 meters and servers connections up to 40 meters while providing support for DVI-USB, VGA-USB and VGA-PS/2 server interfaces through the use of a specially constructed dongles.
